Getting Booked at Off Broadway
Thanks for your interest in Off Broadway. This is our standard response to new booking requests. Before we can get you booked, we'll need some information regarding the band(s), promotion, etc. Fill out the following information (also available to download in .txt format) and send it to Steve.
For those who have already been booked, we encourage you to look at our guide to promoting your show. Your band needs to promote themselves, or there's a very good chance you'll be playing to an empty room. We are a destination club. If your fans don't know you're coming, generally, no one will come.
--------------------------------------------
1) Are you local or touring?
2) Genre/style of music?
3) Solo / Duo / Group?
4) Have you played St. Louis? If yes, please state when and where.
5) Estimated realistic size of your fan base? (21+ in St Louis)
6) Dates you are looking for? Specific dates.
7) Website/name of your band?
8) Are you receiving any air play in St Louis, and if so, what station?
9) What methods do you use to promote your show / how do you get fans toyour show?
10) How did you hear about Off Broadway?
11) Given the info we provided below, how many paying fans will you bring toa show?
Remember we are a destination club, meaning the only (vast majority) fans here are fans of the specific act, similar to a concert venue. If your fan base in St. Louis is small you will be playing to an empty room! Then we all go home with empty pockets, a hard fact in the original-music business. We are closed on Sunday.
Peace,
